Metrics matter.
Retention, growth, engagement  all essential.

But before the numbers line up, there’s often a feeling:
users start pulling instead of being pushed.

They complain  because they care.
They adapt the product in unexpected ways.
They forgive imperfections.

This phase is subtle and easy to miss
if you’re only watching dashboards.
