Are younger generations more globally aware?

I think younger generations are more exposed to global issues, but being aware is a bit different.
They see more, hear more, and connect faster but depth sometimes gets lost in the flow.
Still, compared to the past, they’re definitely more connected to what’s happening beyond their own borders.
What do you think?
